This record is of Constables describing land bounds of the inhabitants in their district to detemine an exact list of their tithables for 1761, which include several references to "McDead's Place"

"On the northwest side of the river;-Daniel Clark, from the upper end of the county down to the mouth of Upper Little River and from there to John Dobbins Road; Christopher Yeaw, Jr., from Dobbins Road including the branches of Upper Little River to Deep River; John Taylor, from the mouth of Upper Little River down to the mouth of Lower Little River, out to John Dobbins' and from there down the Wagon Road to Archd. McNeill's; Daniel Munrow, from the mouth of Lower Little River to Mr. Gibson's store, up the Wagon Road to John McAfee's and down to Arch. McNeill's on Little River; Isaac Anderson, from McNeills Creek to Cranes Creek; Isaiah Powell, from Mr. Gibson's store to the lower end of the county, then up to John McAfee's; John McFarling, from McAfee's to McDead's Place; Wm. Pace, from there to Raiford's plantation on Drowning Creek then down the creek to the county line on the south side of Rockfish; Joshua Collins, from Cranes Creek to McClendons Creek; Jonathin Ritchison, from McClendons Creek to the upper boundary of this county including all within the Yadkin Road."
