30 May 1785 in the district of Ninety Six on north side Reedy River on both sides Rocky Creek adj. land of David McDade; also tract of 178 acres surveyed for Abel Pearson 20 July 1785 in the District of Ninety Six below the ancient limits on two small branches running into Enoree river adj. land laid out for William Rogers, Roger Padget, Richard Minton; also 381 acres surveyed for Joseph French 6 Aug 1784 in the District of Ninety Six below teh ancient boundary on both sides Pacolet River adj. land of William McMillian, John McNight, James Gilmore, Charles McNites; also 100 acres surveyed for Doctor George Ross 11 May 1785 in the District on Ninety Six on small branch of Duncan's Creek in Laurens County adj land of said Ross, Elenor Craig; all these 16 tracts a total of 3621 acres granted to said Augustus Merrick by Gov. Ninety Six District. Personally came Joseph Burchfield before John Thompson, Esquire, and made oath that the white oak whereon this deponents land now is he understood to be the beginning corner for 200 acres of North land which the said Depondent sold to Wm. Bridges & which he understood Wm. Bridges sold to Vardry McBee and after the boundary line was run between North and South Carolina he was at the before mentioned white oak corner and said the Vardry McBee run a 700 acre survey, this being in and about 10 yrs past and said lines were run by Zechariah Bullock, Deputy Surveyor.
