sick was untill I got the message she was gone I went on first train layed
her a way beautiful she looked so peaceful I would not wake her if I could
she did not look to be _0. yr old [first digit looks like a 5 with the top
missing] you owe me a letter love to all.
Your Aunt Lou,
Birdie Ed Sagner and I was all the kin there.
[Notes: The author is Lou Wassom Sullins; she and Birdie are the daughters
of Queen McDade and James Wassom. Aunt Jennie is Jane "Jennie" McDade, wife
of W. A. Sutton; Nancy Rogers Arnold, the recipient, is Queen McDade
Wassom's granddaughter. Ed Sagner appears to be the son of Sarah McDade and
a nephew to Queen and Jennie-I am still looking for a marriage record or
something that would confirm (or disprove) that Sarah McDade and Sarah
Sagner were the same person. The Sagner's lived in Carthage, Missouri.]
