Death - Hallettsville, Oct. 26 - C. U. Floyd, a traveling piano tuner, was shot
and killed Tuesday at noon at the Park hotel here. R. R. McDade, Jr. of
Hempstead was arrested for the crime. With him at the time was his brother,
John McDade also of Hempstead. Mr. McDade, Sr., is one of the commissioners for
the state awarding the $50,000 reward for a boil weevil remedy. The deceased’s
home is unknown. He has traveled through this section the past year pursuing
his vocation.
