McDade, 66, of
Vermont Avenue, died on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004 at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Asheville, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Lola Wright Ball and was the wife of the late William Arthur "Junior" McDade. Mrs. McDade was also preceded in death by two sons, Barry Edward McDade and William Arthur McDade III.
She had been employed by J and S Cafeteria as a cashier, was a private duty nurse, and formerly worked at Appalachian Hall.
Surviving are one daughter, Trish Davis and her husband, Joey, of Asheville; two sons, Thomas McDade and his wife, Ann, of Spartanburg, S.C. and John McDade of Asheville; two brothers, Jimmy Ball and his wife, Diane and Charlie Ball and his wife, Marie, all of Asheville; two sisters, Peggy Ball of Greenville, Tenn. and Judy Clark of Charleston, S.C.; two grandchildren, T. J. McDade and Matthew McDade, both of Spartanburg, S.C. and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers and in appreciation for their special care and generosity, memorials may be made to Dr. Richard Dodd and staff, 750 Alliance Court, Asheville, NC 28806.
