Betty Jo McDade - Wilson County News, The (4/13/2004)


    Betty Jo McDade, 66, of Bremerton died Aug. 30, 1999, at Crista Shores in Silverdale.
    She was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Blytheville, Ark., to Robert and Gladys (Ford) Ellis. She was raised and educated in Blytheville.
    She married William McDade on Nov. 13, 1951, in Blytheville.
    Mrs. McDade worked in real estate and owned and operated both the Treasure Chest in Belfair and Sunshine Candies & Gifts in Bremerton. She was a certified floral designer. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years.
    Survivors include her husband; three sons, Steven of Garden Grove, Calif., Douglas of Manchester and Glen of Orange, Texas; a daughter, Linda Johnson of Silverdale; a brother, Robert Ellis of Blytheville; four grandchildren, Shawn McDade, Atecia Fredrick, Danielle and Kyle Johnson; and one great-grandchild.
    A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crista Shores in Silverdale. A cremation is taking place at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
