Hillsborough - Charles Samuel McDade, 74, died Tuesday at his home. Mr. McDade was a retired merchant and was a member of the Masons and the Shrine. He was a member of the Eno Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clyde H McDade; four brothers, Dr. Banks McDade of Burlington, Wessie G McDade of Richmond, Va, Paul B McDade of High Point and Milton McDade of Mebane: and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie M Compton of Cedar Grove and Mrs. Minnie McBroom of Hurdle Mills.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Thursday at the Eno Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove by Dr. Ben Brown. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. Pallbearers will be Donald Pope, Hoawrd Pope, C B Pope, Donald Oakley, Charles Langston and Warren Anderson.
