July 26, 1908 " Death of Mr. McDade, was former resident of Durham - -
died in Hillsboro. Mr. J C McDade died last night at 3 o'clock in Hillsboro after a illness in which he was substantially an invalid for years.
Mr. McDade is remembered in Durham, having lived twenty-three years here and was a mechanic by trade. He was many years in the employment of Gen. Julian S. Carr and was a generally liked man. He was 71 years old and leaves besides his wife five children.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow about 12:30. The remains will be shipped here on the midday train and the funeral will take place about an hour afterwards. The burial is made is Maplewood cemetery.
