SEBAGO - William Wayne McDade, 84, of 22 Intervale St.
died Friday April 7, 2006 in a Portland hospital.
He was born in Portland, a son of William and Susie
Fogg McDade. He was raised and educated in Westbrook, was a 1939
graduate of Westbrook High School. He went on to attend The Portland
Wayne served in the U.S. Army in World War II, after
his discharge he was employed for a short time by the Palmer Spring Co.
He re-enlisted in the Army and served in the Vietnam War and served in
the Army reserves until retiring in 1983, after spending more than 30
years total in the military.
Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He was a member of the Saccarappa Lodge of Masons.
He is survived by a son William McDade of Sebago; two
daughters Kathleen McDade of Sebago, Elaine McDade of Dallas, Texas;
four grandchildren, Casey, Kelley and Jenny McDade and Nicholas Ferrante;
and six great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at
the Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. Funeral services
will be at the Funeral Home Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial with Military
Honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made
to the Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund.
