MCDADE -- Vernon R. McDade, 80, of Albuquerque, was taken home to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Vern was born in Monaca, PA. He graduated from Rochester High School and from Arizona State University. He was an active member of SPEBSQSA for over 50 years, singing tenor in Barbershop quartets and choruses, and serving as director of men's and Sweet Adeline choruses in Phoenix and Albuquerque. Vern, with his wife Norma, owned and operated Zee Medical Service for over 28 years in Albuquerque before retiring in the mid 90s. In addition to his wife Norma, Vern is survived by his son, Michael; daughters, Cheryl Wiltsie and Laurie Hill; son in law, Ken Wiltsie; daughter in law, Louise McDade, M.D.; granddaughters, Taryn, Olivia, Tawney and Madison; and his sister, Dorothy Goettman of Pennsylvania. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, lead by Pastor Dave Row. All who knew Vern are invited to attend.
